Bevel Plexus is an easy-to-use payment solution that provides international students with a streamlined payment experience and saves institutions and their payers’ money and time.
We are transforming the payment process so that making international payments is easier, faster, more transparent and cost effective for our users.
In most cases, we provide you the option to pay in your local currency. That way you benefit from our competitive, same-day settlements and discounted exchange rates, which are typically unmatched by traditional banks.
We also provide you with the option to track the status of your payment within your dashboard.
Bevel Plexus currently accepts bank transfers and other online payment methods. Different payment methods are made available depending on the country you are paying from and the institution you are making a payment to.
If the credit/debit card option is available for your payment option, the card type we process from your country will be displayed when you create your payment request. Once you finish creating your payment request, you will be able to pay by card directly on our website.
For bank transfer methods, payment instructions that contain our account details will be provided to you at the end of the payment request process. You can then initiate the transfer through your online banking platform (from any bank you choose).
Each time you send a payment through Bevel Plexus, a payment request is required. The first step before sending your funds is to create a payment request via our web application. Please note, each payment needs a payment request associated with it. If you wish to send multiple payments, it is required to create multiple payment requests as well.
If you are trying to make a selection and your country is not listed on our website, it means that we do not currently offer payment options for your country or institution.
Due to Government regulations, we are unable to accept payments from certain countries. If your country is not available as an option on our website, it may be considered a sanctioned country. In this case, please reach out to your institution to discuss your options.
While Bevel Plexus does not have any maximum amount limitations on tuition payments, your institution or issuing bank might. If you want to send more than the maximum amount your institution or bank allows, you will need to contact them. Alternatively, you can send multiple payment requests.
Any amount limitations affecting your payment will be disclosed once you start making your payment request.
As a general rule, the minimum payment amount that Bevel Plexus accepts is USD 50 (or the equivalent). This limitation may not apply to your institution.
Due to the nature of our business and some of the services we provide, we are required to have a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process as well as a Compliance program in place. This process allows us to verify the identity of our customers, as per Regulatory requirements.
In some cases, you will have to provide your email address, phone number and personal information including your first name, last name, address, and date of birth. Most users are verified at this point through our automated process.
If you don’t pass the automated KYC process, you will have to go through an additional document verification stage. This is important and required per local regulatory requirements.
Regardless of your currency selection, we will always share with you the total amount due before you finalize your payment request. Bevel Plexus will not impose any additional fees on top of this amount due. If you transfer funds in your local currency, the amount due will include all foreign exchange and fees charged by our payment partners, if applicable.
Our rates for bank transfer options are typically the lowest. We can provide a better pricing on bank transfers because the costs Bevel Plexus incurs to provide cross-border bank transfers are typically lower than for credit card options. Select this option if you are looking to make a payment at the lowest cost available.
Credit card payments on the other hand, are instantaneous and offer many advantages in terms of convenience and speed. For time-sensitive payment options, card options are a great choice.
It is advisable to use cards denominated in your local currency to minimize charges resulting from the currency conversions. If a dual or different currency credit card is used, your bank may charge an additional currency conversion fee to send the payment to Bevel Plexus.
We will send you an email and update the transaction status to “Transaction Complete” within your dashboard as soon as the funds arrive to your recipient’s account. If a transaction requires review for regulatory reasons, we will contact you immediately.
If the funds have not yet been delivered to your recipient’s account you can cancel the transaction at any time. Once the status of the transaction changes to “Transaction Complete”, the funds have been delivered to the recipient and no refund is possible.
Refunds depend on your payment method and your bank’s processing times – some refunds can be processed immediately but others can take up to 24 hours.
